The Medical Payment Poster will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of Cash and Accounts Receivable transactions. The incumbent will input and apply payments to patient accounts timely, perform account reconciliations, and any reporting as necessary. In this role you will also research transactions appropriately to ensure payments are applied correctly, process approved refunds on credit balances or unapplied monies, apply correct contractual adjustments, enter appropriate account status from remittance advices or EOB received in lockbox correspondence as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for posting all incoming payments to correct patient accounts on a daily basis.
• Inputs and retrieves data from computer systems.
• Reconciles accounts daily.
• Special projects as assigned within the department

Education and Work Experience

• 2 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or hospital cash posting or banking preferred
